Before I started Full Sail I was working on my brand, TheHighHeeledGamer. I dubbed TheHighHeeledGamer, the Oprah of the nerd world, because not only to I try to shed light on up-and-coming people in the nerd community (ie: Comic book writers, artists, and video game developers) but I also give back to the community. I had always thought I wanted to be just a writer. I have written 4 books, I recently published a collection of my poems, and I am currently working on a children's series. But then I realized that writing in not my only passion. I realized that I had many other talents. Because of that I started exploring what else I liked doing with my time. I had quit my full time job and I had a lot of free time on my hands. Because of that I realized that video games and reading took up my free time. I also realized that I like learning new things and meeting new people. Because of that I knew that I wanted to try to incorporate those three things and make a business out of it. I figured out that if I went into the Journalism field it would encompassed all of my talents and would also allow me to learn new things and meet new people. Finally I realized that the one thing I was missing was learning how to market this brand I have created along with trying to understand today's way of marketing. So I re-enrolled in Full Sail University to get my Media and Communications degree. And ever since then I decided to pursue my passion for media to help me learn and grow my brand. I plan on continuing my education by getting my Master’s in New Media Journalism once I have received my Bachelor’s degree.
