Geek & Grub Market

The Geek and Grub Market is a monthly outdoor market where geeky vendors and food trucks can come and sell their products. Owner and creator Erin Dean takes us on the Geek and Grub Market journey.

My name is Erin Dean. I am local to Raleigh, North Carolina, and I am an entrepreneur. Most recently, I created the Geek and Grub Market.

This happens one Sunday a month with a few Saturdays that are special event themed, such as an adult Halloween one happening in October and a special holiday theme for December. I really enjoy the community coming together, networking, and having fun together. One of our guests came up to me and said, "This is such a fun and great idea. It gives families like mine something to do outside of the house. Plus it's free who could ask for more?" I love getting to meet so many people from different walks of life who enjoy the same geeky things I do as well. People like that mom and people like vendor Tish, who sells tie-dye clothing.

And I mean, who doesn't love food? So we invite food trucks or food vendors to come and sell their delicious foods. I try to have different trucks/vendors at each event to give everyone a chance to showcase their cuisine. Vendors are asked to fill out our vendor form on our website. The general public can visit the website to stay up-to-date, or they can follow our Instagram and stay informed there as well. I hope to see you at our next event happening on July 9th.
