This was my first time at Tantrum Con, and I was shocked at how amazing it was. I had no idea what to expect, and I was blown away by how smoothly, effectively, and how well ran this con was. Monica is one of the owners of Tantrum House and is the Con Manager, and she was very much hands-on. Monica talked to everyone and ensured everyone from vendors to guests was well taken care of. Plus, not to mention one of the friendliest con managers I have ever met. I have been doing con media for ten years now, and I have never been to a con where everyone was friendly. From the volunteers to the vendors and con-goers, everyone had smiles on their faces, was beyond polite, and wanted to make sure everyone around them had a great time.
One of the nicest things I experienced was a media meet and greet that was held for us to meet and network with others in our career field. Everyone was genuinely interested in each other and what they did. I felt so at ease and comfortable talking to my peers. Not only did I connect with people, but I can honestly say I made some friends that weekend.
Every day was jam-packed with games, laughter, and a sense of belonging. It was an atmosphere like none other, and I am ready to do it all over again in 2023.
